I've legitimately saved money by playing EU4, because my acceptable threshold is $1 for 1 hour. I almost certainly would not have played EU4 this long without the DLC, so I can justify it. If you don't feel like the DLC will make the difference, then that is your call, and you should definitely decide that for yourself.

Europa Universalis 4 DLC King of Kings will give the Middle East a huge overhaul, following EU4 update 1.36, which focuses on specific improvements for Persia.

If you don't know which nation you want to play or want to play many nations across the world I would recommend Art of War and Rights of Man as the two "most universially useful" DLCs. #5. 11 Always Be The Defender. Wars are extremely precarious in Europa Universalis 4 when between equally powerful empires, and as such players have found ways to make every bonus count in these
Depends on what you enjoy about grand strategy games. If you like nation building and conquest, then EU4 is a perfect match. I guess you'll just have to try it, I can't definitely say If a game that in it's entirety costs hundreds of dollars is going to be worth it for you. The_Kaiser249. • 2 yr. ago.
In Europa Universalis IV: King of Kings, these great centers of humanity - Cairo, Constantinople, and Isfahan - get a fresh look, with new historical flavor, greater gameplay variety and compelling alternate histories as you rewrite the history of the early modern world. This immersion pack to Europa Universalis IV adds over 300 new missions
If you're looking to get into the game, the EU4: Starter Pack is a great bundle - it includes three DLC listed in the top two tiers. Note that EU4: Empire Bundle is different and includes all expansions except the latest ones - Origins, Lions of the North and Domination
Just get the Humble deal. They're currently running a sale for all EU4 DLC's except Origins and the base game (actually worth like 400$) on steam or on epjc for just 20$. And yes, altough it seems too good to be true, Humble is totally trustworthy! Idk if I could ever justify spending 20 bucks on an EU4 DLC again, only to reconsider that point at a later point. I like it; I like the niche inclusions of tags like the Latin Empire and Angevins, and options that are so oddly unique for nations, like theocratic Christian Japan or Peasant Republic Aragon are really nice.

The title pretty much says it all. I've become a bit of a paradox vet over the last few years with Cities, Stellaris, Imperator Rome, CK3, and Vic3 but have yet to dip my toes into EU4, mainly in indecision over which dlc to get and is it worth without them or can I just keep digging into the other time period grand strategies.

\n \neu4 which dlcs are worth it
Of course its worth playing without dlc but the dlc does add a hell of a lot of stuff. Summer sale on right now so the dlc isnt expensive. You're right! For a limited time only it's the generous price of $130 to buy the game + all DLC because of this lovely generous sale! #3. .
