Yes. Competitive, no, co-op, yes. There's no such thing as online multiplayer in this game. There's online co-op for 2 players and that's only for Raid Mode. No online for campaign/story mode either. Hence why the tag "multiplayer" doesn't appear in the store page.
when I press start on the second controller it starts splitscreen but then keyboard input is blocked? < > Resident Evil Revelations is Surprisingly a pretty good game and i loved it! So Installed Revelations back in 5/21 and thought it was a split-screen co-op game i would be playing with my sister. Unfortunately it wasn't and i didn't really touch it again after 2-3 Levels because it didn't grab my attention at all and has a very weak opening section. I would say RE6 unless you or your wife wants to play second fiddle. 6 is closer to the way 5's coop is in that you'll both be playing characters that are about equal footing (in terms of gameplay, whereas Revelations 2 theres 1 character handling the fighting, and another character that's more about support. Add: If you are looking for a couch co-op experience and you haven't played it already, amusingly Resident Evil Revelations 2's entire campaign can be played by 2 players in co-op (though only offline). Rev 2 is more focused on survival and scavenging. Unlike Rev 1 where your co-op buddy is invincible, the support characters in Rev 2 can be killed.
