Canon 24-105/4L isn't a particularly sharp lens, especially on telephoto end. By sharpness, it's comparable to Sony 24-240 in respective focal range. So I'd recommend skipping it and geting either 24-105G (expensive but nice for 5x zoom) or 24-240 (cheaper, and has wider range — according to my test, "okay" 240 mm photo is better than "great
