Hi everyone, Was looking for some help with an issue ive been having with my 2008 focus 1.6 tdci, this morning i had went to go fill up with fuel and as soon as i did i started the engine and got a "engine malfunction" message on the trip computer bit of the dashboard.
had my ford focus 1.8 tdci 4 month and its my first ford car i have bought and it has up with engine systems failure with a red LED indicator next to the message display unit on the dascome h on the right hand side and gone in to limp mode, had a fault reader on it but didnt pick anything up do to been a faut reader and nothing special.
I have just had an engine system fault message come up on my screen which can be reset to show the normal information and a permanent red light. Focus 1.6 TDCi

Just to say a big thanks to this thread. It helped me to fix my 2008 Ford Focus Mk2.5 1.8 diesel. Engine wasn't starting, throwing P1622 immobiliser ID does not match. Reflowed the instructment cluster a few times and replaced main earth cable. But didn't know there was 3 more earth connections under the air intake box.

t do the bosch injector for a 1.6 diesel engine (DV6) need coding. The injectors were removed and reconditioned. If the reconditioning company provided new calibration codes, then you can enter them in with a system like Forscan. If no codes were provided, you could ask the company if they usually give them.

Posted October 18, 2014. If there are no stored DTC codes the problem is most likely caused by a defective instrument cluster. The Focus MK2/MK2.5 instrument clusters are known to cause these kind of problems. It is caused by bad quality soldering connections of the instrument cluster.

Neděle 16.12.2018 21:13, Focus II (2006) - 1,6 TDCi - chyba motoru. třeba se tu najde někdo znalý . Auto jezdí normálně, dokud na dálnici jedu +/- do 2,5k otáček (5. stupeň, cca 125 km/h). Pokud motor znovu nastartuji, tak chyba motoru už nesvítí, auto jede dobře, dokud se nedostanu zase na podobnou hodnotu otáček a rychlosti .
